Without spoiling too much for anyone who hasn't played, the video game Fallout 3 has a heavy focus on a quest for providing clean, safe drinking water to everyone in the region - just like what charity: water does. That's why UPickVG's cofounder Stephonee has decided to spend her 29th birthday (and beyond) playing Fallout 3 and raising money for charity: water - to bring clean water to people in the Capital Wasteland, and in the real world.
UPDATE: Since we met our stated goal of $2000 raised, we’ll also be streaming Fallout 4 for its midnight release! New stretch goal: $3000 raised!
Your donation can vote toward in-game actions and quest lines! It's easy, just...
1) Click the donate button on our charity: water page
2) Put in your donation amount, or leave it at the suggested amount.
3) Put in your name. It says "Full Name," but you can put your Twitch chat username or a nickname.
4) In the "Leave a Comment" field, write what you want to see in the game!
Want suggestions for what you should put in that comment field? Our custom viewing page has a Quest Progress log (to show you what we’ve already done, and what’s still left!) and a donation rankings board to show you what other people have donated for: http://www.upickvg.com/watch-now/
100%of the money will be used to build clean water projects for people in need, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
You can give a little or you can give a lot. The craziest thing we can do is nothing.
